The Nothing Phone (1) launch is just around the corner, and bits of specifications and features are surfacing left and right—the latest one is a video of a first look at the Nothing Phone (1)’s retail box. The video reveals the slim form factor of the box, which further strengthens the rumours of no charger inside the box. The Nothing Phone (1) is expected to come with a 33W fast charging solution, which is only possible through a compatible charger. 

Separately, another video – officially posted by Nothing on TikTok – reveals that the Phone (1) has an under-display fingerprint reader. It remains to be seen how quickly the scanner can unlock the device. The Phone (1) launches on July 12th at 8:30 PM IST and will be sold exclusively via Flipkart in India and possibly via Reliance Digital in the offline market.

The video posted on YouTube by Gaurav Chaudhary aka Technical Guruji – in partnership with Nothing – gives us a first look at the Phone (1) retail box. The video explains how Nothing aiming toward a sustainable future has used recycled material and zero plastic to manufacture the box, and even the ink used for printing text on the box is made of soybean. The box’s slim, sleek, and minimal form factor suggests the rumour mill could be true, and the Nothing Phone (1) could ship without a charger inside the box. Further, the Nothing Phone (1) is manufactured with recycled Aluminium and the internals with recycled plastic.

In an officially TikTok video posted by Nothing, the company showcases an under-display fingerprint reader of Phone (1) in action. Nothing Phone (1) has a Glyph LED light interface at the back panel, which glow when the Phone (1) is plugged-in or when the user gets a notification, which can be customised as per the user’s preference. The handset supports wireless charging, boots Android-based Nothing OS, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC powers the package.
