Google Street View launched in India: check if it’s live in your city
After a lot of wait, Google has finally announced the arrival of the Street View in India. The feature has initially been rolled out for 10 cities across the country, but more cities will soon be added to the list. To bring the Google Street View to the country, Google has collaborated with Genesys International and Tech Mahindra. Google Maps is also going to collaborate with local authorities and companies to deploy this feature swiftly and to scale without hassle. Here’s a list of the cities which have already received the Street View feature:

The Street View feature has currently been rolled out to the following cities in India:
- Bengaluru
- Chennai
- Mumbai
- Hyderabad
- Delhi
- Pune
- Nashik
- Vadodra
- Ahmednagar
- Amritsar
Google has also confirmed that more cities are soon going to be added. Matter of fact, Google plans on adding as many as 50 cities to the list by the end of 2022. Street View will help the commuters in solving challenges while navigating on Google Maps. It will ensure a more reliable experience and will be quite a value addition to the already useful Google Maps.
Google Maps new features
Plus, a few new features are soon going to be added to Google Maps. Google Maps will soon show the maximum speed limit issued by the local authorities for a particular location. The feature is currently available in Bengaluru and Chandigarh.
In case of an accident or some unforeseen road closure, Google will inform the commuters and will suggest alternate routes in Delhi, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Agra, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Gurgaon.
Additionally, Google Maps will now provide the users with accurate information on the Air Quality. Users will have to tap on the “Layers” button on the top right side of the app and select the “Air Quality” option. Lastly, Google Maps will now display transport emission data from cities like Chennai, Pune, Aurangabad, and Bengaluru.
