Tata has teased a new electric car that will be announced on April 6th. The teaser shows a glimpse of the EV’s body. Previously we came across a leak that suggested that an updated Tata Nexon EV with better range and power could make its debut on April 6th. And now, the company has confirmed it will indeed launch an electric car on unveil on April 6th via Twitter. While the teaser does not reveal the EV’s name, Tata could reveal any one of three possible models at the April 6th event – 2022 Tata Nexon EV, Tata Altroz EV, and Tata Tigor EV. The teaser says “Different is Electrifying” and shows different body parts of the EV. The teaser could be of Tata Altroz electric car as the company said it will bring in the Altroz EV “at the right time”. The Altroz EV is expected to deliver up to 300km on a single charge. Tata first showed the Tata Altoz concept in 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show. It will come with an updated Ziptron technology from Tata, the same that powers the Tata Nexon EV.

Next on the list is Tata Tigor EV. The upcoming electric car model of Tata Tigor is said to come with a bigger battery pack and a more extended driving range. The current Tigor is claimed to deliver 306km of range. With a bigger battery pack, the latest Tigor model could offer around 365km to 400km of coverage.

The final guess and a solid one is the updated 2022 Tata Nexon EV. After testing the car on public roads, a long-range Tata Nexon is in the pipeline, which is said to launch in India on April 6th, 2022. The new Tata Nexon comes with a 40 kWh battery that could deliver up to 400km of range on a single charge.

We’ll have to wait till April 6th for the company to reveal the new Tata EV unless the details of the EV leak before the official announcement.
