OnePlus phone powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC launching in India in Q2, company confirms
MediaTek recently unveiled its latest flagship Dimensity 9000 processor in China. Post the launch, a bunch of smartphones powered by the Dimensity 9000 chipset have been launched in the Chinese market, but are yet to make their way to India. Finally, it looks like we would get to see these smartphones come to India as well, as Anku Jain, Managing Director, MediaTek, has confirmed in a briefing. Jain has revealed that the Dimensity 9000 processor is coming soon to India and the first OnePlus phone powered by the processor will launch in Q2 this year.
Possible OnePlus 10 with Dimensity 9000 processor launching in Q2 in India
So far, there have been several leaks and rumours surrounding the launch of the OnePlus 10, but there has been no official confirmation for the same. While the OnePlus 10 has still not been confirmed, we now know that there will (at least) be one OnePlus device running on the Dimensity 9000 processor, which will launch in India in Q2, 2022.
Additionally, the brand has also confirmed that the OnePlus 10R will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset. The device has already been listed on the company’s official Indian website, thereby meaning that the Indian launch of the OnePlus 10R is imminent. Plus, the brand has a Summer Launch Event set for April 28th, which is supposedly going to bring about the OnePlus 10, OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and the OnePlus Nord Buds.
Sadly, information related to the OnePlus 10 is pretty scarce for now, but we certainly won’t have to wait for too long to learn each and everything about the device. In any case, we can expect the device to come with the Dimensity 9000 chipset, which has been turning quite a few heads lately.
