[Exclusive] Motorola Edge 30: first official images
The Motorola juggernaut, having just introduced both the mid-range Moto G22 and G52, is poised to switch gears with an upcoming foray back into flagship territory in the form of the Motorola Edge 30. Little brother to the already-released Edge 30 Pro (and upcoming Edge 30 Ultra), we’ve known about the vanilla variant for some time already – and now we have the first official press imagery to go along with the specs.
Codenamed Dubai, Edge 30 — as you may recall — is a 6.55-inch handset with 2.5D pOLED display whose resolution is a rather standard 1,080 x 2,400, but whose 144Hz refresh rate is among the fastest on the market.
The sub-7-inch thick Edge 30 is said to pack an octa-core Snapdragon 778G 5G system-on-chip (4 A78 cores + 4 A55 cores) and several memory configurations consisting of either 6GB or 8GB of RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB internal storage. It’ll ship with a 4,020mAh battery and a 33W (in-box) wired charger.
Camera-wise, we’re looking at a pair of 50-megapixel rear shooters (primary and wide angle) plus a 2MP, fixed focus depth sensor. Its front-facing selfie cam is of the 32MP variety, pixel-binned to achieve eight-megapixel images.
Look for Edge 30 to begin shipping globally before the end of the month.
