2022 is finally upon us and there are a bunch of phones launching in India and other markets in the coming week. The list includes some popular names like Vivo V23 series, iQOO 9 lineup, Realme GT 2 and GT 2 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. Those who have been waiting to buy a new phone can be on the lookout for these phones as they’re expected to be placed in multiple price segments. Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge will be the country’s first phone to ship with 120W fast charging support, while the Vivo V23 Pro will be the first to ship with a 50MP dual selfie snappers. The Realme GT 2 Pro, on the other hand, will be the company’s most premium offering yet. In this article, we’ll be covering the list of phones launching next week and their hardware specifications.

Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge: Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge is a rebrand of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ and will launch on January 6th. It sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and a punch-hole cutout. The phone has triple cameras on the back, with a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port.

The handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset coupled with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. It rocks a 4,500mAh battery and supports up to a whopping 120W fast charging. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, JBL speakers, a 16MP selfie snapper, up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE: Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be launching at CES 2022, which kicks off on January 4th. The handset is said to sport a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, 401ppi pixel density, Corning Gorilla Glass layer for protection, and punch-hole cutout to house the selfie snapper. It is likely to run Android 11 OS with OneUI 3.1 custom skin. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port.

The Galaxy S21 FE will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 5G chipset based on the market. The SoC will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage that may be further expandable. It is expected to pack a triple camera setup on the back, led by a 12MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens, 79-degrees FoV, and OIS with dual-phase detection autofocus, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom. There is a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats and a 4500mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
Realme GT 2 Pro: Realme GT 2 Pro is launching in China on January 4th alongside the standard Realme GT. The handset will be the first phone to come with a 150-degree FoV ultra-wide-angle lens, Fish Eye mode and OIS (first from Realme). It will have a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP secondary lens, and a 3MP microscope camera unit. It could have a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The handset could pack up to 12GB RAM, and a 1TB storage option. It is likely to boot Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0 custom skin out of the box. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset coupled with Adreno GPU. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos support, and 5G network connectivity.
Realme GT 2: Realme GT 2 will be a cheaper alternative to the GT 2 Pro and may debut on the same stage. It is said to sport a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout. It could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0 custom skin out of the box and packs a 5000mAh battery with 65W fast charging.

Vivo V23 Pro: Vivo V23 series, comprising of the Vivo V23 and V23 Pro, is set to launch on January 5th. Vivo V23 Pro is said to sport a 6.65-inch FHD+ 3D curved 90Hz AMOLED display. It will be powered by the Dimensity 1200 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage that will be expandable further via a microSD card. It is likely to run on Android 12 with Funtouch OS 12 out of the box.

Vivo V23: The Vivo V23 5G will have a 6.44-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED panel. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on Android 12 with Funtouch OS 12 custom skin out of the box and a 4,300mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
Vivo V23

The Vivo V23 will have a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera, rounding off the triple camera layout. Like the V23 Pro, the standard model is also said to get a 50MP primary shooter and an 8MP wide-angle camera.
iQOO 9 series: iQOO 9 series is set to launch in China on January 5th. The lineup is said to come iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro. Both are confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and probably a 256GB storage option. They’re likely to run on Android 12 OS with iQOO UI custom skin out of the box.

The vanilla iQOO 9 will have a 4650mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. The Pro model will have a 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper. iQOO 9 Pro is expected to feature a micro-gimbal PTZ camera and a 4,700mAh battery. Not much else is known about phones but we should learn soon.
