Realme 9i with 50MP camera, 5000mAh battery listed on AliExpress, launch seems imminent

In just two weeks, Realme will unveil its flagship Realme GT 2 series with top-of-the-line specs. However, the smartphone manufacturer is also working on other devices for early 2022, such as the Realme 9 series. The Realme 9, Realme 9 Pro, 9 Pro+, 9 Pro Max, and Realme 9i are expected to be launched soon by the company. Over the last several weeks, the Realme 9i has also obtained NBTC and FCC certifications. A few days ago, a handful of renderings also surfaced online, giving us a decent look at all the dimensions of the device. AliExpress has now listed the gadget in China, ahead of the formal release, which should happen next month in China, with a global release to follow soon.

Realme 9i listed on AliExpress with key specifications

According to the listing on AliExpress, the Realme 9i will have a 6.59-inch LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, which we already revealed in a previous exclusive by us. The listing also confirms a 50MP primary rear camera and a 16MP selfie camera, which will be placed in the upper left corner of the screen, in a punch-hole cutout. The smartphone also features 4GB RAM and 128GB of built-in storage, according to the listing.

Coming to its battery, the smartphone will come with a 5000mAh battery, with 33W fast charging support. The smartphone will also come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset inside it. Other confirmed features of the smartphone include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Interestingly the listing also reveals that the smartphone will come without the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Realme 9i launch date (expected)

As previously mentioned, the Realme 9i is expected to debut in China in early January 2022. The device might possibly be available in India and globally by the end of January or in February 2022, where it could be renamed, the Realme Narzo 9i. In terms of colour options, the Realme 9i will be available in Blue and Black colour options.
