OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro receives the latest OxygenOS update

The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro OxygenOS 11.0.10.10 update consists of the December security patch as well as some bug fixes to smoothen out the overall UI experience. The changelog posted on the OnePlus Community website suggests the following changes via the recent update:

  • System:
    • Optimized the UI display of the Settings interface
    • Fixed the issue that Google Assistant and GPay doesn’t display as expected in the Setup Wizard
    • Fixed the low probability issue of WhatsApp crash
    • Updated Android security patch to 2021.12

The above updates have been enlisted as the fixes that have been reported by the company and part of the newly pushed OxygenOS update. However, the update seems to have made a rough landing as the comments on the post suggest that the issues highlighted have not been ironed out. Users have reported that the issues still persist despite the fixes in the new update.

The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro along with some other devices have been facing UI related issues as reported. The settings menu UI has been seeing a common glitch where the icons are listed out malaligned. Even though the issue isn’t a huge one, it does dull the user experience to an extent.
