Moto G51 5G launching in India: 5 phones it will compete against under Rs 20,000
The budget smartphone space has been pretty busy in India for a few years. We are now at a point in time when these budget offerings are very well catered towards the masses. One such brand making a bang in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment is Motorola. We recently saw the brand announce the Moto G31 budget smartphone at an s starting price of Rs 12,999. Well, they are coming back to announce the Moto G51 5G on December 10th. The phone has already been launched in global markets and comes packed with a 120Hz refresh rate LCD panel, Snapdragon 480+ 5G SoC, 50MP rear camera, including a large 5,000mAh battery, and more.
Let’s take a look at some of the devices that the Moto G51 5G will take on under Rs 20,000 in India.
Realme 8 5G – Rs 15,499
This is among the handful of early 5G smartphones from Realme. The brand also announced a 4G version of the Realme 8 but the 5G variant became an instant success both online and offline. This can very well be a choice when looking at the Moto G51. The Realme 8 5G variant comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ resolution LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC, with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be further expanded using a microSD card.
Networking features on the Realme 8 5G include Dual-band 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of optics, there is a triple camera setup on the back with a 48MP sensor, coupled with a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. Selfies are taken care of by a 16MP sensor on the front. All this is juiced by a sizeable 5,000mAh battery which comes with support for 18W fast charging.
Redmi Note 10 Pro – Rs 17,999
The Redmi Note series is among the most widely sold smartphone from Xiaomi in India. While we are still waiting for the Redmi Note 11 series to release, the Redmi Note 10 Pro which launched a couple of months back still turns out to be a good pick when considering alternatives to the Moto G51 5G. Moving to the specs the Redmi Note 10 Pro comes with a 120Hz refresh rate 6.67-inch Super AMOLED panel and is powered by a Snapdragon 732G SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM.
On the optics front, the device gets a 64MP quad-camera sensor including a wide-angle lens, tele-macro lens, and a 16MP selfie shooter. The Redmi Note 10 Pro drives juice from a 5,020mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Redmi Note 11T 5G – Rs 16,999
The Redmi Note 11T launched in the market very recently and is the successor to the Redmi Note 10T. The Redmi Note 11T 5G packs a 6.6-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD Dot display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz Touch Sampling rate. The refresh rate here is variable and the phone can cycle between 50Hz, 60Hz, and 90Hz depending on the task. The phone comes powered by the MediaTek Dimsenity 810 SoC and Mali GPU. There are multiple phone variants with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM (3GB RAM booster) and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which is further expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. There is a 5,000mAh battery juicing the phone with support up to 33W of fast charging (charger included in the box).
There is a dual-camera setup on the back, a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera coupled with an LED flash. In addition, there is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front for crisp selfies. POCO M3 Pro 5G – Rs 14,499
Though POCO is an independent brand under the Xiaomi umbrella the devices they bring to market are always rebranded Redmi smartphones. We have the POCO M3 Pro 5G on the list which is essentially a rebrand of the Redmi Note 10T and can be an alternative to the Moto G51 5G. The M3 Pro comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ resolution LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC, with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be further expanded using a microSD card.
Other notable features include Dual-band 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Under the hood, it comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G SoC, with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which can be further expanded using a microSD card.
There is 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Since the phone has an LCD panel, there is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of optics, the A74 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup a main 48MP sensor, which is coupled with a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor.
