Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE launch date in India is September 29th, the company officially revealed hours after the phone’s global debut. The brand officially unveiled the mid-range device on Wednesday alongside the flagship Xiaomi 11T series. On Thursday, Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain announced that the phone will be launched in India later this month, within two weeks of its global debut. Amazon has also started teasing the phone’s release in the country. The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is set to launch in India on September 29th. The company revealed the launch date soon after the phone’s global debut yesterday. The phone comes as a 5G version of the Mi 11 Lite that launched in India a few months ago. Note that Xiaomi has dropped the Mi branding on its phones.

Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE specifications

The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE touts a slim and lightweight design, measuring 6.81mm and weighing just 158 grams. The phone sports a 6.55-inch FHD+ (2400×1080) AMOLED DotDisplay, with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and up to 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The handset supports storage expandability via a microSD card (up to 1TB).

The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE comes equipped with a triple camera system that comprises a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 5MP tele-macro camera. At the front, the phone gets a 20MP camera for selfies and video calls. The device packs a 4,250mAh battery 33W fast charging support. Other features include a side fingerprint sensor, NFC support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual speakers, and more. The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.
