Revised Rs 79 Airtel recharge pack detailed

Till now, the Rs 49 Airtel pack was the most affordable prepaid recharge that offered data as well as talk time. As we mentioned above, the company has now discontinued it. In its place, the brand is making the Rs 79 prepaid pack its entry-level recharge and offering users more benefits than before.

The revised Rs 79 Airtel prepaid pack offers talk time worth Rs 64, calling tariff of Rs 0.1 per second for local and STD calls, 200MB data, and 28 days validity. Compared to this, the Rs 49 pack used to offer Rs 38.52 talk time and 100MB data despite the same validity. Therefore, the Rs 79 plan is almost 60 percent more expensive than the Rs 49 plan, but it also offers more benefits. According to Airtel, the new plan offers four times more outgoing minutes than the Rs 49 plan and it is in line with the company’s focus to offer “superior connectivity options.”

The revision, Airtel says, will go into effect from tomorrow, i.e. July 29th.
