The handset is tipped to be available in both 4G and 5G variants and the former is expected to find its way to the Indian market. The phone’s support page had gone live on the Samsung Russia website and a few other leaks have revealed a good deal about the design and internal hardware. We revealed exclusive renders and specs of the Galaxy A22 5G a few days ago. Now, ahead of the official announcement, some fresh renders have surfaced online alongside the complete specifications, courtesy of SamMobile. The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G renders show off the design. It has a square module on the back with triple cameras and an LED flash. There’s also the Samsung logo, of course. The volume rocker is on the right alongside the power button with a fingerprint sensor embedded in it. The SIM card tray is on the left and it may house a dedicated microSD card slot. While the front design isn’t visible earlier renders show the Galaxy A22 has a waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper. The phone will be available in Black, Light Green, Purple, and White colour. options.

The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G sports a 6.6-inch IPS LCD Infinity-V display with an FHD+ pixels resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and 90Hz refresh rate. The 5G model is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz paired with 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage that can be further expandable via a microSD card up to 1TB. The phone is likely to boot Android 11 OS with OneUI 3.1 custom skin out of the box and be equipped with Dolby Atmos and Samsung Pay. The phone will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support. The phone measures 9mm in thickness and weighs 203 grams.
Moving to optics, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will have a triple camera setup on the back, with a 48MP (F1.8) primary wide-angle sensor, a 5MP (F2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP (F2.4) depth sensor for portrait shots. The phone can record 4K videos from the primary camera. On the front, it is tipped to get an 8MP snapper for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Samsung Galaxy A22 4G, on the other hand, is said to sport a 6.4-inch HD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and have a quad-camera setup, with a 48MP primary sensor, a 5MP secondary lens, and a couple of 2MP sensors. The rest of the specifications are expected to be similar to the 5G model.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G price is rumoured to be around EUR 199 (approx Rs. 17,800), and will be the cheapest 5G phone from the brand.
