Samsung Galaxy A22 5G 15W charging support revealed via TUV Rheinland certification
Samsung Galaxy A22 is said to be in the works as an affordable 5G offering from the brand. Speculations are rife the phone might launch in India soon, and there’s also a 4G variant reportedly in the works. Now, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G has been spotted on TUV Rheinland (via) with model number SM-A226B, which revealed it will have 15W fast-charging support (up to 9V, 1.67A input). Unfortunately, the screenshot doesn’t reveal much else about the phone just yet. The Samsung Galaxy A22 has been spotted on Geekbench, which fortunately has revealed some hardware details. It is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, pack 6GB RAM, and boot Android 11 OS out of the box.

Alleged Samsung Galaxy A22 renders have claimed the phone will feature a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, a square-camera module with at least triple sensors, and possibly a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The phone is said to measure 167.2×76.4×8.7mm and sport a 6.5-inch display. As for cameras, the phone may have a 48MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP secondary lens and a 2MP third sensor. The phone could have a 13MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features could include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.

Separately, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will soon launch as a successor to the Galaxy S20 FE. The handset is said to go into production from July this year and is expected to be unveiled on August 19th at the Unpacked event. The flagship will be offered in White, Light Violet, Light Green, and Gray colour options. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC, 6.4-inch AMOLED display, 32MP selfie snapper, and a 4,500mAh battery. Connectivity features could include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port.
