The Realme X7 Pro, on the other hand, features a slightly larger 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The display also has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. With a larger display size and better protection, the Realme X7 Pro wins this round by a slight margin over the Realme X7 Max.

Processing power and software experience

The Realme X7 Max comes with the flagship chipset from MediaTek, the Dimensity 1200. The Realme X7 Pro features a slightly less powerful SoC, the Dimensity 1000+. The Realme X7 Max also has UFS 3.1 storage, which is significantly faster than the UFS 2.1 storage that is in the Realme X7 Pro. Plus, the Realme X7 Max can be had with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage as opposed to Realme X7 Pro which you can get in only 8GB+128GB configuration.

The Realme X7 Pro will offer you a blazing fast performance but the Realme X7 Max has an upper hand with an even more powerful processor, faster storage technology, and higher RAM and storage capacities, taking the crown in the performance department. When it comes to software, the Realme X7 Pro comes loaded with Android 10 and Realme UI. The Realme X7 Max, on the other hand, ships with the newer, Android 11 and Realme UI 2.0. Therefore, the Realme X7 Max comes ahead in terms of software experience as well.

Camera

The Realme X7 Max has a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. The Realme X7 Pro comes with the same primary, ultrawide, and macro cameras but it also has a 2MP depth sensor. Does the extra 2MP sensor make a difference? Well, not really. These 2MP cameras are basically there to just show a higher number of cameras for marketing purposes. They don’t actually offer a better image quality. So, you can expect the Realme X7 Max and the Realme X7 Pro to offer the same image quality.

While both smartphones offer equally good image quality from their rear camera setups, that isn’t the case when it comes to selfies. The Realme X7 Max comes with a 16MP front camera, whereas, the Realme X7 Pro comes with a 32MP sensor. Although the higher resolution doesn’t necessarily mean better image quality, reviews suggest that Realme X7 Pro offers better selfies compared to the Realme X7 Max. Thanks to the better selfie camera, the Realme X7 Pro takes this round.

Winner: Realme X7 Pro

Battery

The Realme X7 Max, as well as the Realme X7 Pro, feature a 4,500mAh battery. Since they have similar displays and processors, both smartphones should offer the akin battery backup. However, the same cannot be said for the charging speed. While the Realme X7 Max has a 50W charging, the Realme X7 Pro comes with 65W charging speed, winning this round. However, the Realme X7 Max is no slouch. Its 50W charging can fill the battery from 0 to 50 per cent in just 16 minutes.

Winner: Realme X7 Pro

Connectivity and other features

The Realme X7 Max and the Realme X7 Pro feature similar connectivity options including dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 6, dual-band GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port. However, the Realme X7 Max comes slightly ahead by offering a 3.5mm audio jack, which the Realme X7 Pro misses out on. Plus, the Realme X7 Max has Bluetooth v5.1 as opposed to Bluetooth v5.0 in the Realme X7 Pro. As for the additional features, both smartphones come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers. So, no difference there.

Plus, the Realme X7 Max isn’t too far behind in terms of display, selfie camera, and charging speed compared to the Realme X7 Pro. It will definitely suffice the majority of the crowd.
