Samsung Galaxy M42 5G with the model number SM-M426B/DS has received the NFC certification, as spotted by Pricebaba. This comes after the phone is spotted on multiple listings online, including Wi-Fi Alliance, China’s 3C, Geekbench, Bluetooth SIG, and DEKRA. The phone’s support page had recently gone live on the Samsung India official website, suggesting the launch could be imminent. Samsung Galaxy M42 could be the first 5G-enabled phone in the Galaxy M series. Unfortunately, the NFC listing hasn’t revealed much about the phone’s hardware specifications at the moment but thanks to earlier leaks and rumours, we know quite a good deal about the phone.

Samsung Galaxy M42 5G Geekbench listing had revealed the phone will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset (codenamed lito), 4GB RAM, and Android 11 OS out of the box. China’s 3C certification revealed it will come with a 6,000mAh battery. Rumours claim the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G will have a 64MP primary camera, 128GB internal storage but there could be other options at launch. There are reports that indicate the M42 5G will be similar to the Galaxy A42. If that’s indeed true, we already know the complete specifications of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy A42 sports a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U waterdrop notch display. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, and a 20MP selfie snapper on the front. The Samsung Galaxy A42 has quad-cameras at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro lens. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. The Galaxy A42 measures 75.9mm X 164.4mm X 8.6mm and weighs 190 grams.
