The Vivo X60 series India launch is just around the corner as the company has started teasing the phone via social media. The official Twitter page of Vivo India posted a teaser on the Vivo X60 series, stating that the phones will launch very soon. The teaser image shows the rear camera setup on one of the variants, and also confirms the partnership with Carl Zeiss optics. Last week, we exclusively reported that Vivo will be launching the X60 series in March, so the teasers are confirmation of the same. The Vivo X60 series will consist of the standard Vivo X60, followed by the X60 Pro, and the X60 Pro+. To recall, the series is launching in Malaysia on March 22nd, so we’ll have to see whether it launches in India before that.

Vivo X60 India launch

Although the Vivo X60 India launch date has still not been revealed, we can assume that it will happen in the coming days. Vivo will be launching the phones with 5G support as well as with camera optics from Carl Zeiss. The teaser posted on Twitter states that the new phones will feature next-level photography. We don’t know about that, but we will be testing that once we receive the review units. The camera setup on the teaser image shows three sensors, with Zeiss branding on the main unit, which means that this is the standard Vivo X60.

Vivo X60 series specifications

Since Vivo has already launched the Vivo X60 series in China, we know that the standard X60 variant gets a triple rear camera setup. The phone features a 48MP primary sensor and dual 13MP units for ultra-wide and telephoto.

On the Vivo X60 Pro, you’ll get the same sensors as on the standard variant, but with an extra periscope unit. The Vivo X60 Pro+, on the other hand, is going to be a photography beast. It features a main 50MP sensor with Zeiss optics, a 48MP ultra-wide sensor, a 32MP portrait lens, and an 8MP periscope unit.

It should be noted that the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 870 SoC in global markets, unlike the Exynos chipsets powering their respective China variants. On the other hand, The Vivo X60 Pro+ model should continue to pack the Snapdragon 888 chipset outside China too.
