Redmi launched the Redmi Smart TV X series in India on Wednesday and it includes 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch models. While many would consider the Redmi TV X50 price in India to be disruptive, it isn’t necessarily the case. There are several 50-inch smart TVs sold at a similar price point. One of them, the Mi TV 4X 50, happens to be made by Redmi’s parent company Xiaomi. We’ll be comparing the Mi TV 4X 50 and Redmi TV X50 against the Nokia Smart TV 50-inch launched some time ago to determine which 50-inch TV offers the most value for your money.

Redmi TV X50 vs Mi TV 4X 50 vs Nokia Smart TV 50 specifications

As their names suggest, the Redmi TV X50, Mi TV 4X 50, and Nokia Smart TV 50 all come with a 50-inch screen. Similarly, all three TVs have a screen resolution of 2160p (4K). As far as the choice of the panel is concerned the Redmi TV X50 and MI TV 4X 50 both use an LCD panel, while the Nokia Smart TV 50 uses a VA panel. Redmi hasn’t revealed the in-depth specs of the Redmi TV X50 just yet, but we should know more about it on its sale date.

Display

The Xiaomi Mi TV 4X 50 and Redmi TV X50 both are HDR10+ certified, whereas the Nokia Smart TV 50 is only rated for HDR10. While this might not seem significant on paper, it can make a world of difference while displaying high-quality, colour-rich images and videos. All three TVs have a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz.

Sound

Starting with the Mi TV 4X 50, we get two 10W speakers for a total output of 20W with support for Dolby and DTS HD. The Redmi Smart TV X50 is equipped with a 30W sound output that has support for DTS Virtual X, DTS-HD, Dolby Audio, and Dolby Audio Pass through via e-ARC.
