Redmi K40 Pro+ may be launched in India with Mi 11X Pro moniker
Redmi K40 Pro+ may launch in India as Mi 11X Pro and as Mi 11i globally, according to tipster Kacper Skrzypek, who has spotted evidence for the same through a recent MIUI Camera app build. The code snippets that are shared on Twitter suggest the Mi 11X Pro moniker is associated with a codename “haydn_pro_india”, which was previously linked with Redmi K40+. The phone may debut globally as Mi 11i with the codename “haydn_pro_global”. Interestingly, the tipster has also found references regarding the Redmi K40 global model, which will arrive as POCO F3 (as reported earlier) and as Mi 11X in India. For the moment, it looks like the Redmi K40 Pro will be exclusive to the company’s home soil, China.

Previously, Skrzypek had suggested the Redmi K40 Pro could arrive as the Mi 11X Pro in India. He now says he has found that the codename “haydn” for Redmi K40 Pro isn’t there in the snippets, which makes us believe the Redmi K40 Pro will not launch outside of China. Unfortunately, the leak doesn’t tell us much about the launch timeline just yet.
