When I took the OPPO F19 Pro+ 5G out to shoot at night, its Ultra Night Video feature kicked in and dramatically improve the visibility of the night-time footage I was shooting. What’s more, Ultra Night Video didn’t just ensure that the videos I was recording are bright and focused, but it also made sure that there’s minimal noise even in the darkest of areas. But things are kicked up a notch with Night Plus, which helped me to capture stunning nighttime photos. With just one tap, the feature adapted the camera settings to make up for the contrasting colours and levels of light between the dark and the bright spots. Interestingly, the feature even gave me the option to apply one of three different filters to make the shots pop out that much more. The first of the three filters is called Cosmopolitan and accentuates golden hues against black backgrounds to highlight bright lights and metallic textures on buildings. Another filter is Astral, and which I used to give a cool sci-fi look to photos by adding a greenish tint to the sky and the shadows. The last one is called Dazzle and enhances black, blue and orange hues to make the city lights in the frame shine brighter.
