Possible Samsung Galaxy E02 spotted on BIS, Wi-Fi certification sites; India launch imminent
Samsung Galaxy E02 India launch is seemingly on the cards as a smartphone with model number SM-E025F/DS has been spotted by 91mobiles at the BIS and Wi-Fi certification websites. Going by model number, this phone could launch as the Samsung Galaxy E02, which is yet another indication that the company is planning to bring back the Galaxy E series in India. We had previously speculated about this last month when we spotted the model number SM-E62 etched on the rear panel of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy E62/F62. Much like that, the SM-E025F/DS model number could either belong to the Galaxy E02 or Galaxy F02.

The BIS certification only suggests that the Samsung Galaxy E02/F02 (SM-E025F) will likely launch in India soon. Meanwhile, the Wi-Fi certification reveals the smartphone supports only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band and runs on Android Q (Android 10). Going by the model number, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy E02/F02 will be a budget smartphone that could be priced under Rs 10,000 going by similarly-named phones in the company’s Galaxy M series.
Samsung Galaxy E02 specifications are still a mystery, but it seems increasingly possible that the company is set to bring back the Galaxy E series. This wouldn’t be surprising considering the brand has been successful with its value Galaxy M series in recent years. Last year, the company expanded its portfolio by launching the Galaxy F series with the Galaxy F41.
In addition to the Samsung Galaxy E02, we also hear that the company will launch the Galaxy E62/F62 this year. Last month, we exclusively revealed that the Galaxy E62 is in production in India and we also revealed live images of the device that showed off its design. The smartphone is expected to come with quad cameras and a glossy rear panel. Other specs spotted on Geekbench include the Exynos 9825 chipset, 6GB RAM, and Android 11.
