OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G India launch officially teased; launch timeline tipped
OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G India launch has been officially teased by the company on Twitter. To recall, the handset was unveiled in China back in December alongside the standard Reno5. While OPPO Reno5 Pro launch date in India hasn’t been revealed by the brand, the teaser shared by the company seems to suggest the launch of the phone is just around the corner. Separately, Tushar Mehta of XDA Developers tweeted a few days ago that the OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G launch in India is expected between January 15th to 20th and the specifications of the phone will be the same as the Chinese variant. However, the tweet has now been taken down.

OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G specifications
OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G sports a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED display with 2,400×1,080 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC coupled with 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. The phone runs on Android 11-based ColorOS custom skin. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port. The phone packs a 4,350mAh battery and supports 65W fast-charging.
As for the cameras, the OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP lens with 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP mono portrait lens. There is a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. It measures 159.7×73.2×7.6mm mm and weighs 173 grams. The OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G price in China is RMB 3,399 (approx Rs 38,300) for the 8GB/128GB variant and RMB 3,799 (around Rs 42,800) for the 12GB/256GB model.
