OPPO F19 and F19 Pro India launch timeline tipped

Highlights
  • OPPO will reportedly refresh its F-series lineup next month
  • The smartphones could come with OPPO F19/ OPPO F21 moniker
  • The new F-series phones will succeed last year’s OPPO F17 and F17 Pro

OPPO F19 and F19 Pro launch has been tipped for February 2021, six months after the F17-series models were released. The information comes from XDA Developers’ Tushar Mehta, who says that the upcoming OPPO F19 series may be called F21 (and F21 Pro) instead, though there’s no concrete indication of that at the moment. The tweet by Mehta (below) is accompanied by a GIF that doesn’t reveal anything about the OPPO F19/ F21 series smartphones and only highlights ‘F’ and February. It doesn’t reveal anything about smartphones. The mid-range smartphones’ India launch will come just a month after the brand unveiled its flagship Reno 5 Pro handset in the country.

The rumour mill also doesn’t have much to share about the upcoming OPPO F19/ F21 phones for now. There were reports back in 2018 that OPPO F19 and F19 Pro could launch with 10x lossless zoom, but we didn’t hear much about the phones after that. We’ll be on the lookout for more clues about the device so stay tuned.

In other news, OPPO Find X3 Pro specifications were spotted on FCC recently. The listing revealed that the upcoming flagship offering from the brand will launch with a 4,450mAh battery, 65W fast charging solution, and Android 11-based ColorOS 11.2. The handset is set to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with 12GB RAM. It is also rumoured that the phone will come with a quad-camera system that includes a 50MP Sony sensor, a 25x telephoto lens, an ultra-wide lens, and a macro camera.

The smartphone could be accompanied by a regular model, called OPPO Find X3, as well. Both the OPPO Find X3 and Find X3 Pro are said to come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, 2K resolution, and 10-bit colour depth. There is no word on the OPPO Find X3 series launch date yet.
