Microsoft made its newest Surface Go laptop available in India. It is one of the company’s more compact offerings aimed at business-centric users who are constantly on the go. The Microsoft Surface Go ships with Windows 10 Pro out of the box. Some models also come with an integrated fingerprint reader and an IR camera for Windows Hello functionality. Microsoft claims that the Surface Go can work seamlessly with corporate IT ecosystems thanks to Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Device Firmware Configuration Interface (DFCI). It also comes with Microsoft Office 265 apps pre-loaded and Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 Business Premium, or Microsoft 365 Apps 30-day trial.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go price in India

The entry-level variant of the Microsoft Surface Go with an i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage will retail for Rs 63,499. Its maxed-out version with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs Rs 1,10,999. However, these models are reserved for business customers only. Thankfully, there are two models earmarked for consumer use; one with the same i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage that costs Rs 71,999 (Rs 76,199 for businesses) and the other with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage that costs Rs 91,999 (Rs 92,999 for businesses). It will be available for sale on all major online and offline platforms starting January 22nd. 

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go specifications

The Microsoft Surface Laptop comes with a minuscule 12.4-inch PixelSense display with a resolution of 1,536 x 1,080 (148 PPI pixel density, 3:2 aspect ratio). It is touch-enabled with 10-point multi-touch functionality. The screen is interrupted by a 720p webcam that comes with two far-field mics. Apart from the base, which is made of polycarbonate, the laptop’s body is made entirely of aluminum.

Moving on to the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go’s innards, we get a 10th-generation Intel Ice Lake Core i5-1035G1 CPU alongside an Intel UHD Graphics GPU. The laptop’s solid-state drives are user-replaceable, meaning that they can be swapped for higher-capacity variants if needed. Connectivity options on the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go include one USB Type-C port, one USB Type-A port, one 3.5mm headphone/mic combo jack, a Surface Connect port, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0. Microsoft claims that it can offer up to 13 hours of battery life under regular loads.
