Mi 11 Pro tipped to pack a dual-cell 5,000mAh battery
The Mi 11 Pro launch is still a few weeks away but some new information has emerged about its battery specifications via prolific Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station. The leaker says that the Mi 11 Pro battery capacity could be 5,000mAh, which isn’t a surprise since the same has leaked in the past as well. The Digital Chat Station says the battery will be arranged in a dual-cell configuration to allow for more efficient fast charging. That is somewhat of a necessity, considering that the Mi 11 Pro could support up to 80W wireless charging and 120W wired fast charging. Unconfirmed reports state that the number could go as high as 200W, but that is more likely to debut alongside the Mi MIX 4.

With 100W+ fast charging technology gaining mainstream acceptance, many OEMs are looking towards dual-cell batteries. Digital Chat Station suggests that upcoming gaming smartphones such as the ASUS ROG Phone 4, Black Shark 4, and Nubia Red Magic 6 will come with a similar cell configuration. Not only does the technology help users charge their batteries faster, but it also ensures that the batteries don’t overheat, given the wattage involved.
Mi 11 Pro specifications
Other expected Mi 11 Pro specifications include a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will come with four rear cameras arranged in a square-shaped pattern, one of which will offer up to 120X zoom. Given that it is a ‘Pro’ version of the Xiaomi Mi 11, its cameras will undoubtedly pack an extra punch. We already know for sure that it will run a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset along with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. For the rest, we can wait for the leaks or the actual launch event.
