OPPO Reno5 Pro+ specifications leaked ahead of launch

Some key OPPO Reno5 Pro+ specifications have surfaced online thanks to Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station. The smartphone is likely to be launched in China soon. Some leaked renders from earlier gave us a good idea about what to expect from the OPPO Reno5, Reno5 Pro and Reno5 Pro+. All three models will get three rear cameras along with a hole-punch selfie module and will be available in three colourways, namely Galaxy Dream, Aurora Blue, and Moonlight Night. As its name suggests, the OPPO Reno5 Pro+ will be the specced-out variant of the lot and will come with top-of-the-line hardware.

The OPPO Reno5 Pro+ is expected to feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It will run last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC along with an unspecified amount of RAM and storage. Its 4,500mAh battery will support OPPO’s 65W VOOC fast charging standard. Other OPPO Reno5 Pro+ specs included a 50MP Sony IMX766 camera sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 13MP telephoto lens and a 2MP macro sensor. Selfies and video calls will be handled by a 32MP camera housed in a hole-punch-style notch at the top-right corner of the smartphone.

One of the more interesting aspects of the OPPO Reno5 Pro+ design is its electrochromic body. The smartphone can, in theory, change the colour of its body by applying varying amounts of voltage to the material. It may also allow users to manually set the colour of their smartphone; a feature that will be welcomed by many.
